Our Research Assistant Professor Melissa Cate Christ is co-presenting the ‘Sparkle! Journal of a City Foot Soldier’ exhibition with other artists on a narrative from the perspective of a city walker at Oil Street Art Space in North Point from 5 Oct 2018 to 6 Jan 2019.
Melissa’s and her colleague Susanne Trumpf’s installation includes re-interpreted selections from her Hong Kong Stair Archive. The work responds to the theme of the exhibition in that they re-envison a commonly (un)seen typology of pedestrian infrastructure: the outdoor public staircase.
