PolyU Design alumni and graduates shine in the DFA awards 2024

We are delighted to announce the accomplishments of alumni and graduates from the PolyU School of Design at the DFA Awards. Organized by the prestigious Hong Kong Design Centre, the DFA Awards represent a standard of excellence in the design industry. This achievement highlights the exceptional talent nurtured by the PolyU School of Design and underscores its significant role in the design field.

 

Mr Tino Kwan Wing Kuen (Higher Diploma in Industrial Design, 1973), who is one of the Outstanding PolyU Alumni, received the DFA World's Outstanding Chinese Designer award for his outstanding contributions and his innovative work on iconic buildings and public spaces with a substantial experience for more than 40 years. Mr Tino Kwan’s was one of the ten distinguished alumni showcased in the 'One To Ten—PolyU Design Outstanding Alumni Exhibition’.

In addition, six younger PolyU Design graduates were honoured with the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award. This accolade recognises the creativity and potential of young designers in Hong Kong, aged between 18 and 35, fostering connections and paving the way for a bright future in the global design arena.

Lau Pui Kar (Higher Diploma in Multimedia Design & Technology, 2011)

Chan Michael Kai Lok (BA (Hons) in Environment & Interior Design, 2024)
