The IT Help Desk Service Chatbot has changed to a new look and to serve PolyU staff and students. ITS has adopted open sourced software Mycroft to provide web chat function and response to general enquiries and frequently asked topics on IT on 7 x 24 basis.
The new virtual assistant on ITS website, address enquiries from staff and students and point to information on user guides and web page links on Teaching & Learning related topics, ITS tools & services. Based on chat history with staff and students, we will continue to expand the knowledge base to improve contextual sensitive response of ITS virtual assistant.

- Visit the ITS Website
- The ‘ITS Virtual Assistant’ icon appears at the bottom right hand corner
- Click the ‘ITS Virtual Assistant’ icon to start the conversation
- Choose your identity: Student / Researcher / Staff
- Virtual assistant will show frequently asked topics on IT services for you to choose
- Choose the topics or enter your own question / keywords at the dialogue box at the bottom
- Virtual assistant will provide the information from knowledge base based on your question / keywords
