The research activities of the consortium are mainly in the areas of advanced materials science and engineering covering nanomaterials & technology, materials design & simulation, structure-property relationships, biomaterials, functional and energy-related materials, composite materials, manufacturing technologies, product design and analysis.
The research work carried out by the members have resulted in international and national patents, and high quality publications in prestigious journals such as NPJ Computational Materials, Nano Energy, International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture, International Journal of Plasticity, Nature Materials, Advanced Materials, Physical Review Letters, Carbon, Acta Materialia, Applied Physics Letters, etc.
