Michael received his PhD in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Florida. His current research aims to extend standard economic models of information systems in two directions: differentiating various forms of social contagion or peer effects in online and offline networks using empirical methods and big data analytic skills; and designing optimal market mechanisms in information systems using game theory, statistics and simulations methods. His work has been accepted by leading journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems.
