摘要

Introduction of the Workshop

The Northern Metropolis, envisioned as a vibrant hub of economic and social activity, presents unique opportunities and challenges. By adopting a nature-based approach, we aim to harmonize urban growth with rural sustainability, ensuring that development is environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable. This workshop will bring together experts, policymakers, academics, and rural community leaders to collaborate on developing actionable strategies and solutions that promote a synergistic model for the development of urban-rural circular economy.

Key topics to be covered include sustainable resource management, waste reduction and recycling, innovative land use policies, preservation of cultural heritage, community capacity building, integrated urban-rural development planning, and the role of technology in enabling circular economic practices. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative workshops designed to foster innovative thinking and practical solutions.

We warmly invite you to participate in this important dialogue as we work towards a sustainable future for the Northern Metropolis. Our vision is to nurture a harmonious coexistence between urban and rural areas, guided by the principles of a natural-based circular economy, to ensure benefits for all communities.
