英國劍橋大學Ioannis BRILAKIS 教授於2024 年3 月8 日主講理大高等研究院第14次傑出講座，講題為「建築環境的數位孿生」。是次講座以混合模式進行，吸引了來自澳洲、亞洲、歐洲和北美等40多個國家和地區共370多名參加者，以及超過13,100人次透過多個社交媒體平台觀看直播。

Dr Amber Jiachi CHIOU (FSN) delivered a webinar with the topic of “Development of Low Carbon Glass-based Architectural Products with Durable Antimicrobial Potential and Beyond” on 26 February 2024. It was co-organized with CEE of PolyU and HKIE Civil Division. Over 160 participants joined the webinar.

The Photonics Research Institute (PRI) successfully hosted a Distinguished Seminar yesterday. The seminar was presented by Prof. Ioannis (John) Kymissis, the Kenneth Brayer Professor of Electrical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. The seminar topic was "Electronics on anything - how thin film electronics can instrument the world".The Photonics Research Institute (PRI) successfully hosted a Distinguished Seminar yesterday. The International Symposium on Reclamations Using Local Dredged Sediments was successfully held on Friday 26 January 2024, with the great effort of the co-organizations, the Geotechnical Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of PolyU. The Symposium was greatly supported by ASCE Greater China Section, Hong Kong Geotechnical Society, Institution of Civil Engineering Hong Kong, Research Institute for Land and Space (RILS) and Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) of PolyU.
