This summer, the PolyU Graduate School is once more organising the “International Research Summer School” for outstanding penultimate or final-year undergraduates and students in master’s degrees from all over the world! The two-week PhD taster, to be held from 1 to 13 July, will gather talent who aspire to pursue research studies to gain a taste of studying on PhD and MPhil programmes at PolyU.

Tailored to participants’ research interests, the Summer School will facilitate consultation sessions with distinguished PolyU scholars possessing expertise in a wide array of cutting-edge research fields. Participants will be able to receive valuable and in-depth professional advice on their research postgraduate applications, research proposals and even personal development.

They will also be introduced to PolyU’s innovative and interdisciplinary teaching through research workshops and visits to the University’s world-class research facilities. Face-to-face exchanges with current PolyU international research students will allow them to share study experiences with their peers and seniors, offering a great opportunity for them to expand their social networks.

The Summer School will, for the first time, incorporate experiential activities in Hong Kong. In addition to the learning experience, participants will be able to venture beyond the campus and immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant culture, society, and economy.
