Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (RS) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZ Hospital) on 31 May 2019 at the HKU-SZ Hospital.
The purpose of this MoU is to facilitate in-depth integration in the areas of rehabilitation profession development and training within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area), as well as to further deepen cooperation between RS and HKU-SZ Hospital. Both parties undertake to promote and develop collaborations on mainly five areas including: (1) Exchange of professional knowledge and training (2) Mutual support of rehabilitation service provision (3) Exchange of students (4) Provision of training by academic staff (5) Collaboration in clinical research projects.
Witnessed by over 100 RS colleagues and medical professions of HKU-SZ Hospital, the MoU was signed by Prof. Hector Tsang (Cally Kwong Mei Wan Professor in Psychosocial Health, Professor and Head of RS) and Prof. Lo Chung-Mau (Hospital Chief Executive of HKU-SZ Hospital).
It is believed that the MoU will strengthen the partnership of both parties in terms of teaching and clinical practice, as well as the development of rehabilitation services.
