Community Centric Design by Mr Rick LAM
Designers are tasked to reconfigure resources to maximize their utility, but whose agenda should we operate with? Architecture Commons is founded on the belief of putting the user, the community and the public first. This lecture will trace our journey through several milestone projects and the learnings along the way.
On Building a Young Practice by Ms Etain Ho
In this lecture, Etain Ho and Francis Lam, founders of Canalside Studio, will share their experiences of starting a design studio in Hong Kong. They will discuss the importance of creative collaboration and how they navigate the construction industry. The talk will highlight maintaining curiosity in their work, as well as the cultural significance of design and the unique stories behind each project. This session aims to provide practical insights for emerging designers looking to bring their ideas to life.
