Keynote Speaker

Mr Ryota KAMIO
Senior Director, RE:PUBLIC INC.
Ryota is a Japanese urban designer specialized in circular design and its implications for the future of cities and society. He is the Senior Director at Re:public, Inc. (Fukuoka, Tokyo) and co-founder of Satsuma Future Commons, a design-led innovation lab contributing to the municipality's master plan for new industry development (Satsuma-Sendai). He has co-chaired the Circular Design Week in Kagoshima (2023) and Taipei (2024), advancing international discourse on circular design across the Asia-Pacific region. His academic contributions include papers on participatory and distributed management for urban and rural commons presented at the Participatory Design Conference (2024) and Fab City Conference (2023). Also, he's been serving as expert lecturer at Kyoto University, Open Technology Innovation Course since 2020.
