Research Overview

Dr Ka-Po Lee's research focuses on the development and application of innovative textile technologies for health monitoring and comfort. Her work encompasses reusable face masks, smart textiles with embedded sensors, and pressure monitoring garments. A significant focus of her work is on pressure monitoring garments tailored for conditions such as Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS), where accurate pressure distribution is crucial for effective treatment. By leveraging advanced materials and integrating sensing technologies, Dr Lee seeks to improve the wearability and functionality of apparel, ultimately aiming to elevate health outcomes and the overall user experience in everyday life and clinical settings.
