Research Overview

Dr Shi earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, MPhil in Materials Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. He is currently an RGC Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Fashion and Textiles, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on intelligent membranes and sustainable polymers.

Research Interests

  • Develop advanced nanofibrous membrane for intelligent protection and bioengineering
  • Design and application of functional biomaterials: polylactide, cellulose, and chitin
