Research Overview

Dr Yu achieved PhD degree at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on the development of bio-inspired structural colored textile materials. Her primary research interests include developing novel bio-inspired functional materials, structural coloration based on textile materials, investigating colloidal chemistry and surface science. She was awarded the 2018 Publons Peer Review Awards, listed among the World’s Top 1% of Reviewers in the field of Material Science. She currently serves as the guest editor for the special issue, "Sustainable Coloration: Green Materials or Techniques for Promising Applications" in the journal "Sustainability".
