Dr Patrick Ting, Clinical Associate, has been awarded a Higher Education Academy Fellowship (FHEA) – an internationally recognised badge of professional success in Higher Education. The Higher Education Academy (HEA, now Advance HE) champions teaching excellence in higher education and the fellowships provide individuals with recognition of their practice, impact and leadership of teaching and learning.
I am very pleased to be awarded the Higher Education Academy Fellowship (FHEA) in recognition of my dedication, commitment and passion to optometry and vision science education, to which I contributed for more than 17 years in different teaching positions.
I hope my contribution might inspire other colleagues to apply for the HEA Fellowship, which is a very rewarding and valuable reflective process on one own’s career in higher education.
