In teaching, and especially lecturing, effective oral delivery is a key factor in engaging students. Besides clear pronunciation of English words, varied intonation, moderate speed, and avoidance of reading are important factors in such engagement. The good news is that PowerPoint offers a free online tool, called Coach, that can give you specific feedback on your delivery and help you to rehearse and improve your lecture performance. This session will show you how to access and leverage the tool, with examples, so that you can get feedback and track your improvement in delivering lectures and classes at PolyU in clear and engaging English. During the session, you will have the opportunity to try the tool out, so please upload a PPT to your OneDrive beforehand.
