Hangzhou WIE 2025

The Hangzhou WIE Programme aims to provide PolyU students opportunities to gain real work experience and build professional network through internships supported by PolyU alumni employers.

Duration: 6 weeks (between May and August 2025; please note that each location may have a different start and end dates)

Programme fee^: HK$2,000

^The programme fee covers:

• Hotel accommodation arranged by GEO;
• Transportation between Hong Kong and the placement city;
• Internship-related events (such as networking sessions, company visits); and
• Group Personal Accident insurance.
  
  

Upon successful completion of the WIE programme, together with the timely as well as satisfactory completion and submission of all the required documents, participants will be eligible to receive a learning incentive of HK$2,300.

Eligibility:

• Year 2 or above, full-time students of UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes
• Aged 18 or above with valid travel document(s)
• Able to communicate in Putonghua in a work setting

(The selection process will be conducted on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible.)

To avoid any scheduling conflicts, please check your availability in advance and apply for the internship(s) that best align(s) with your schedule.

Application Procedure:

*The programme fee of HK$2,000 is non-refundable once the offer is accepted. Applicants may also need to bear the cost of flight ticket(s) or other cancellation fee(s) incurred should they choose to withdraw from the Mainland WIE Programme(s).
