Being one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Nanjing has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture and is also famous for the wide variety of architecture, landscapes, mountains, and waters. Today, Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province as well as the second largest commercial centre in the East China region, after Shanghai. It has been ranked 4th by Forbes magazine in its latest list of “China’s Best 100 Cities for Business”.

Duration: 6 weeks (from 20 June to 31 July 2025)
Programme fee^: HK$2,000
^The programme fee covers:
- Hotel accommodation arranged by GEO;
- Transportation between Hong Kong and the placement city;
- Internship-related events (such as networking sessions, company visits); and
- Group Personal Accident insurance.
Upon successful completion of the WIE programme, together with the timely as well as satisfactory completion and submission of all the required documents, participants will be eligible to receive a learning incentive of HK$2,300.
Eligibility:
- Year 2 or above, UGC-funded, full-time undergraduates
- Aged 18 or above with valid travel document(s)
- Able to communicate in Putonghua in a work setting

During the internship period in Nanjing, SEU will arrange various weekend activities (including sightseeing, home visits and culture exchange) with their professional support for WIE students. One of the key features of this programme is the “Buddy Programme”, which provides a great opportunity for SEU and PolyU students to interact with each other.
