As an intern in the Advisory Department, my main responsibility is to deliver performance evaluation of the use of government financial funds. I need to follow up projects together with my colleagues. For example, I follow up a project of greening for an area of Shenzhen. We need to visit the relevant government departments referred to financial documents. To see whether the actual use of the annual financial funds is appropriate and whether it fits the financial planning at the beginning of the financial year. The final task of every project is to make a performance evaluation report to relevant government department, based on the inspect we have done and the indicator system.
This six-weeks internship programme changed my attitude toward work. As a student in school, sometimes we treated our assignment as burdens to be solved. But this internship let me began to think how to do the project in a professional way and take the initiative to do every single assignment. I also shared my humble suggestions which I thought was appropriate to improve on current procedure, which my supervisor took into consideration.
