Pioneering the Moon: From Exploration to Base Construction
Introduction
Ever wondered what it takes to design a lunar base? Sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is organising a space-themed competition for secondary school students to imagine the conditions of working in outer space and form a team to design their own lunar base. Guided by a chosen theme, they must ensure this workspace meets the needs of astronauts and be able to propose innovative ideas for its future development. As part of the programme, participants will gain valuable space knowledge from a stimulating lecture series and apply their learnings in the design competition, all while developing important STEM skills and fostering creative thinking.
