EDB-funded Project - Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Funding Scheme for Tertiary Institutions 2023

This Education Bureau (EDB) funded projects aiming to promote the understanding of the Constitution and the Hong Kong Basic Law among students of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In this project, participants are encouraged to produce a 5-minute video on the topics surrounding the Constitution and the Hong Kong Basic Law. The selected applicants will be subsidized and are required to submit a project report to the Office of Undergraduate Studies/Student Affairs Office.

Objectives:

• To understand the Constitution and the Hong Kong Basic Law through video production for exhibition at the mini-conference.
• To provide an opportunity to gain video production skills and showcase the work to the audience.
• To learn about the history, meaning, and design of the national flag and emblem, as well as the national anthem and flag-raising etiquette by distributing leaflets in the mini-conference.

Theme:
Participants produce videos to promote students’ understanding of the Constitution and the Hong Kong Basic Law.

Eligibility:
All full-time students of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Important Dates:
Registration: On or before 11 December 2023
Assessment of applications: Mid-December 2023 
Video production: October - December 2023
Submission of video and project report: 26 December 2023
Video production for exhibition at the mini-conference: January 2024
