The University organised the “INSPIRE” Mentorship Programme Annual Gathering 2024 to express its gratitude to the mentors and to bring together mentors and mentees who have shared invaluable mentorship experience over the past year. Around 270 mentors and mentees exchanged memories and experiences during the event.

Themed "Igniting Flourishing Paths", the Gathering commenced with a celebratory toast from PolyU’s Council and Court members, who are also mentors, alongside senior management. Attendees watched videos highlighting the remarkable connections fostered through the programme. The PolyU Student Affairs Office Chinese Orchestra held a performance, celebrating the camaraderie nurtured through the programme with beautiful music.

Mentors in the programme played the triple roles of advisor, life coach, and role model to the mentees, aiming to broaden students’ horizons and enhance their growth. The University believes that students will continue to be inspired by their mentors’ wisdom and experience, allowing the “INSPIRE” community to thrive.

Launched in 2020, the university-wide “INSPIRE” Mentorship Programme has connected over 400 mentors with 1,600 student mentees. The programme aims to enrich students’ holistic learning experience through meaningful mentorship from prominent leaders and role models within the PolyU community, supporting their personal, academic, and professional development. A variety of mentoring events have been held, including company visits, workshops, themed talks, face-to-face and online meetings, and sharing sessions.
