Project Title
Obtaining the Human L and M Cone Responses
Synopsis
The human retina has rod and cone photoreceptors which are the first cells involved in the absorption of light and phototransduction. There are three unique cone types called L, M and S cones which benefit in wide-ranging colour vision. The research goal is to use an electrophysiological estimate of the cone responses that holds a major impact on understanding individual cone contributions to ERGs. Areas of colour vision and individual cone contributions in development of myopia also prevails as a major research implication.
