<나의 서울 여행>

나는 언니하고 서울에 여행 가 본 적이 있다. 우리는 명동 근처에 있는 호텔에서 묵었다. 밖에 나가면 지하철이 바로 앞에 있어서 교통이 편리한 편이었다.

우리는 이화 벽화마을에 가 봤다. 이화 벽화 마을에는 예쁜 그림들이 많았는데 거기에서 제일 유명한 벽화는 날개가 있는 그림이라고 들었다. 그 벽화 앞에 서 있으면 날개가 있는 천사가 될 것 같았다. 사진을 찍으면 예쁘게 나올 것 같아서 언니에게 같이 가자고 했다. 하지만 가 보니까 날개 벽화 앞에 줄이 너무 길었다. 기다리고 싶지 않아서 사진을 안 찍었다. 하지만 다른 예쁜 그림도 많아서 만족스러웠다.  

그 후 우리는 유명하다는 돈가스집에서 점심을 먹고 싶었는데 아무리 찾아도 그 식당을 찾을 수 없었다. 그래서 그냥 근처에 있는 닭한마리 맛집에서 점심을 먹었다. 거기에서 아주머니가 닭한마리를 찍어서 먹는 간장소스를 어떻게 만들었는지 알려주셨다. 닭한마리를 먹어 본 적이 없었는데 먹어 보니까 정말 맛있었다. 아주머니도 친절해서 기회가 있으면 또 갈 것이다.

사실 나는 이번 여름 방학에 또 한국에 가기로 했다. 지난 번에 한국어를 아직 잘 몰라서 항상 영어로 주문했는데 지금 한국어를 배운 지 이미 2 년이 됐으니까 이번에는 꼭 한국어로 주문할 것이다.

I have travelled to Seoul with my sister. We stayed at a hotel near Myeongdong. The subway was right in front of the hotel, so transportation was convenient.

We went to Ihwa Mural Village. There were many pretty paintings in Ihwa Mural Village, and I heard that the most famous mural there was the one with wings. If I stood in front of that mural, I would feel like I was an angel with wings. I thought it would look pretty if I took a picture, so I asked my sister to go with me. But when I got there, the line in front of the wing mural was too long. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to wait. However, I was satisfied because there were many other pretty paintings.

After that, we wanted to have lunch at a famous pork cutlet restaurant, but no matter how hard we searched, that restaurant was nowhere to be found. So, we just had lunch at a nearby restaurant called Chicken Hanmari (It means ‘one chicken’). There, the lady showed me how to make the soy sauce for dipping. We had never eaten a whole chicken before, but when we tried it, it was really delicious. The lady was also kind, so I will go again if I get the chance.

Actually, I decided to go to Korea again this summer vacation. Last time, I didn’t know Korean well yet. Always ordered in English. But now it has already been two years since I learned Korean. This time for sure I will order in Korean.
