In the course, participants will learn some advanced and innovative applications of FDM 3D printing, such as support-free orientation, self-assembly and embedded design.
Additionally, participants will learn how 3D printing waste can be repurposed to create new, valuable products. Learn to minimize waste and maximize the potential of 3D printing.

Dr. Virag S. Raut
Engineer at the Industrial Centre of PolyU 香港理工大學工業中心工程師
Dr. Raut worked as a 3D printing engineer at Shapeways. He works on the development of shape memory ceramics for additive manufacturing applications and has extensive experience in working with ceramics and polymers in 3D printing and material characterisation. He also raised pre-seed funding from PolyU and the Science Park for his ceramic 3D printing startup. He also has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and is well-versed in various topics in the field.
Raut 博士曾在 Shapeways 擔任 3D 列印工程師。他致力於開發用於增材製造應用的形狀記憶陶瓷, 在陶瓷和聚合物的3D 列印和材料方面擁有豐富經驗。 他亦為自己的陶瓷 3D 列印新創公司從理大和科學園區籌集了種子前資金。並且他擁有豐富的機械工程經驗及精通該領域的各個主題。
