Introduction |

Florence is a counselling psychologist and has been devoting her career life as an educator for two decades. She has dedicated her early career as a language teacher and then an academics in the University. During the service in the frontline educational field, she was responsible for various leading roles in counselling and nurturing students' whole-person development. Her research focuses on positive youth development; leadership and service-learning; the implementation and effectiveness of the guidance programmes in local context. Incorporating the frontline experiences, she has developed the track records and published papers in various journal articles (such as Assessment and Evaluation in High Education, Applied Research in Quality of Life; Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology).
Florence is awarded with several teaching awards as the recipient of Faculty Teaching Award and Departmental Best Teaching Award. She is also the team member of the 2018 QS Wharton Reimagine Education Awards for Sustainability (Gold Award) “Hope and Seeds: A service-learning programme in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Hong Kong” and Ethical Leadership, “Tomorrow’s Leaders” (Silver Award).
Florence is privileged in joining SAO serving students, in the hope of nurturing students as a contented and loving (both self-loving and loving others) person. |
