作者總結其二十餘年來研究的中國語文評估的部分研究成果,相繼出版「促進學習的語文評估」四本專著。《促進學習的作文評估》闡釋作文性質、過程、促進學習的作文評估特點,分析學生的作文能力與篇章特點,建構內容多維、主體多元、方法多樣的評估體系,發展有效的作文試卷、評分方法,設計任務型作文評估,在教學過程中實施傳意作文、作文檔案的評估、作文反饋策略,編製作文量表,最後述評美國、新加坡、臺灣、香港的作文評估框架及工具。
