Reimagine Education Awards

Earlier on, PolyU academics scooped four awards at Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Reimagine Education 2016, in recognition of their innovative teaching and learning pedagogies. These global awards are the “Oscars of Higher Education” and PolyU was the only University receiving four distinguished awards.

• A project titled “Platform for Remote Controlled Physics Experiments” led by Dr Peter Tsang Yuen-hong, Dr Mak Chee-leung and Dr Dennis Leung Chi-wah scooped Gold Award of Regional (Asia) Awards
• A project titled “Collaborative Learning with Technology – Peer Instructions with Clickers for Large Classes” led by Dr Kevin Chan Hin-wang won the Overall Bronze Award in Best Use of ICT Tools category
• A credit-bearing subject entitled “Service Leadership” led by Prof. Daniel Shek took the Overall Bronze Award in Ethical Leadership category
• A Service-Learning subject entitled “Service Leadership through Serving Children and Families with Special Needs” led by Prof. Daniel Shek won the Bronze Award in Social Enterprise category
