Coming soon: Indigo Dyeing from the Blue - The Silk Road Textile Dyeing Enters Hong Kong Exhibition
The University will present the “Indigo Dyeing from the Blue —The Silk Road Textile Dyeing Enters Hong Kong Exhibition”, as part of the PolyU Chinese Culture Festival. The Exhibition will be held on campus from 30 May to 12 June 2024 and a Kick-off Ceremony will be held on 30 May. A series of activities, including a seminar, guided tours, and workshops, will also be organised.
The Exhibition offers a window into the traditional Ranxie techniques, including the exquisite "Four Techniques": twist-dyeing, wax-resist dyeing, clamp-dyeing, and ash-dyeing. Visitors can also actively participate in workshops and interactive activities, experiencing the wisdom and joy embedded in these traditional crafts.
