PolyU Young Innovative Researcher Award: igniting tomorrow’s discoveries
PolyU takes pride in nurturing outstanding scientific talents who are ambitious, dedicated to research, and pursue innovation. Congratulations to the six recipients of the PolyU Young Innovative Researcher Award (YIRA) 2024! In its third consecutive year, this prestigious award recognises young researchers under the age of 35 who have demonstrated outstanding research capabilities and made significant contributions to various disciplines.
Pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge
The six awardees have embarked on groundbreaking research projects spanning a wide range of disciplines, revolutionising areas such as new materials, green energy, advanced manufacturing, intelligent construction, textile technology, and medical technology. Their projects demonstrate the potential to revolutionise industries and tackle global challenges.
The YIRA 2024 awardees will receive HK$500,000 in research funding and a personal cash reward of HK$20,000, supporting them with the necessary resources to further their research and continue their innovative work.
These exceptional young researchers exemplify PolyU's dedication to fostering innovation and scientific advancement, which is in line with the national vision of cultivating "New quality productive forces" while bolstering the talent pool.
