Aspiring students had the chance to delve into the University’s offerings at the PolyU Information Day (Info Day), gaining insights into their prospective academic paths, with over 40,000 people visiting the PolyU campus during this exciting event in mid-October. They explored the latest admissions and programme information of the University’s undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, including the enhanced admission arrangements and new programmes that cover various emerging fields.

The Info Day featured a variety of activities, such as admissions talks for JUPAS and other applicants, 200 programme consultations, guided tours of the University’s laboratories and facilities, student sharing sessions, workshops, and more. These activities provided students and parents with a deeper understanding of PolyU’s admission requirements and study programmes, helping them plan their academic journey.

Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, PolyU will offer more flexible and interdisciplinary study options, launching seven bachelor’s degree schemes to nurture future-ready professionals and drive social innovation. The University will enhance its undergraduate admission arrangements and offer different pathways for students to tailor their studies to their interests. In particular, students admitted to the Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Interdisciplinary Studies can explore study areas across faculties/schools before deciding on their major.

PolyU will also introduce new undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in emerging fields to meet society’s talent needs, such as the BSc (Hons) in Architectural Studies (subject to approval) and the BSc (Hons) Scheme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (Data Science and Analytics / Financial Technology and Artificial Intelligence).

The opening ceremony for the Info Day was attended by PolyU’s senior management team, including President Professor Jin-Guang Teng, Deputy President and Provost Professor Wing-tak Wong, Vice President (Education) Professor Kwok-yin Wong, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) Professor Ben Young, along with other management team members, faculty/school deans, and representatives. They later visited the booths set up by faculties, schools and departments.
