In line with PolyU’s commitment to holistic education, The Academy was established to harness the talents of exceptional students. Its mission is to nurture leadership, inspire meaningful interactions, strengthen networking ties, and cultivate sustainable connections that support students’ academic and future growth. The Academy consists of around 100 members, including an ExCo of 15 distinguished students and past recipients of the “Outstanding Student Awards” and the “Presidential Student Leadership Award,” all demonstrating academic excellence, strong leadership, and dedication to community service.
Key activities hosted previously by The Academy include the Unity in Diversity Bamboo Workshop, a campus Green Promotion initiative focused on water and energy conservation, and seminars on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. In 2025, The Academy plans to expand its influence by organising seminars on design thinking, sustainability, and leadership, alongside the Dean of Students Talk Series and High Table Dinner.
