Student Message

Time flies, and I am grateful for the valuable experience I have gained at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This includes meeting a group of good friends who share the same goals as me. In addition to teaching us the theories in the classroom, the amiability professors also gave me many opportunities to practice myself, such as assisting us with a real marketing campaign in the group project. Let me not merely understand the theory but also gain practical experience.

Outside the classroom, the department also holds a Student-Alumni Networking Dinner, inviting alumni to share with us on career planning and building a professional network. During the dinner, I got to know many outstanding alumni. They enthusiastically shared with us the market situation and answered our doubts. This definitely provides great help for my future career!

CHEUNG Mei Chi, Jacqueline

As I prepare to graduate from PolyU, I feel a deep gratitude and nostalgia for the years of my academic journey. My friendships and connections are the most valuable aspects of my PolyU experience. I was privileged to learn alongside many talented people, and we shared countless memorable experiences.

One of our most significant experiences was during the course Social Media Marketing, in which we collaborated with a Korean-style self-photo studio to help them overcome cultural barriers. The campaign generated over 500 new followers for their social media accounts in two weeks. I am also thrilled to be participating in the upcoming Hong Kong Creative PR Competition 2023 with my friends, and I look forward to continuing to support and inspire each other.

Furthermore, I have built up my network by attending joint networking dinners in the MM Department and connecting with industry professionals. This has allowed me to gain valuable insights into the real world and explore different career paths.

Additionally, I have been fortunate to learn from passionate and knowledgeable professors who have shared their expertise and inspired me to pursue my passions and interests.

I am excited to see where the next chapter of my life will take me, and the lessons and experiences I have gained at PolyU will serve me well in all my future endeavors.

YAU Ka Ling, Stella
