CAI Yuejun
Yuejun worked in VNU Exhibition taking part in a project called “Pet Fair Asia”, which is one of the most famous pet fairs for selling any kind of products for any type of pets in the world.
The greeting meeting with senior managers aimed at greeting us and explaining the job duties. It was an excellent opportunity for them to share their opinions on confidence, working attitude, and career planning.
CHUI Chun Wai
In this short period of time, Chun Wai's job duties include standing in the lobby to receive customers, going out to promote ETC, and making PowerPoint for ICBC internal competitions.
GAO Xinhong
Xinhong had his internship at Shanghai Electric. As its name shows, the company focuses on providing solutions to energy generation. Xinhong was assigned to work at the SEC branch: Shanghai Electric Wind Power.
HAO Ming Wai
Ming Wai's internship company is Shanghai DLD Logistics. It provides professional integrated supply chain logistics services for manufacturing and distribution sectors.
LAU Ying
Ying's internship was at the Water Resources Protection Authority, a sub-department of Taihu Basin Authority of the Ministry of Water Resources. Her main responsibilities were to exercise administrative responsibilities related to the protection of water resources and the prevention and control of water pollution in river basins.
LIU Ka Yeung
Ka Yeung is glad to have participated in the Shanghai WIE programme 2018. His employer provided a harmonious working environment for him to develop relationships with his coworkers and understand the business cultures in the Mainland. Furthermore, this trip was very beneficial as it helped him stand out to potential employers, which is an important step in entering the aviation industry and developing his career path.
TAO Zhen
Zhen spent 6 weeks on her internship in Everbright Securities, and she was assigned into the real estate group. Her duties were to help her supervisor collect and organise the data he required, including making Excel forms, delivering Wechat news push or any work he required, etc. She was like an analyst assistant. The most important responsibility was formatting daily news and announcements of the real estate industry. She had to use a specific software to monitor the industry dynamics, record the related industry news and policy and summarise the information into Excel and submit it to the supervisor.
WONG Ka Yan
Through work-based learning experiences at BDP International Limited (China), students develop generic skills that will be valuable in the logistics industry.
Ka Yan was assigned to work in the Air Freight Department during the internship. Her team manager provided comprehensive training to ensure she and other interns were well versed in the strict regulations and demanding air cargo environment. Ka Yan's primary duties were handling non-hazardous and dangerous goods, conducting inspections, fulfilling governmental compliance, and providing specialised hand-carry solutions.
YUNG Shun Yan
Shanghai Construction Group (SCG) is one of the biggest construction companies in Shanghai. During the 6-week internship, Shun Yan believed she had contributed to SCG with her proactive and energetic attitude.
