Ren Li holds a PhD in Social, Decision Making, and Organizational Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MA in clinical psychology from Columbia University. Her research spans two areas: 1) conflict management in teams; 2) understanding social and gender norms in organizations. The key goals of her research are to broaden theory on these topics as well as offer organizational applications for managing conflict, addressing gender inequality, motivating employees’ desirable behaviors, and bridging cross-cultural differences. She has published in top academic outlets, including Psychological Science, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and Journal of Consumer Psychology.
