Investment Portfolio Analysis and Asset Management is to introduce fundamental principles of investments and to major issues currently of concern to all investors. This is the second course following by the Personal Financial Management: The 4 core pillars. The course will provide students a comprehensive understanding of the role of modern financial theory in portfolio management and to present a framework for addressing a wide range of issues in the management of financial assets.
The concepts and skills developed from the course enable students to conduct a sophisticated assessment of current issues and debates covered by popular media. The course will focus on intuition and practical applications of investment theory as well as some analytical analysis.
The course emphasize on equity part and topics include: portfolio theory, equilibrium in capital markets, portfolio performance evaluation, and asset management. The risk and return analysis and portfolio theory provide corporate leaders (CEOs and CFOs) with knowledge on how to make investment decisions to optimize the trade-off between risk and return.
