课程宗旨及学习成果

电子计算及人工智能(荣誉)理学士组合课程设有以下学位课程,内容实用,紧跟市场趋势和需求,选修科目也同样注重应用成效。

  1. 计算机科学(荣誉)理学士学位课程以软件开发及商业应用为主,不论文科、商科及理科学生均享有同等的入读机会。
  2. 企业信息管理(荣誉)理学士学位课程结合商业管理及计算机科学与技术的具体应用,致力于为企业培养信息管理专业人才。不论文科、商科及理科学生均享有同等的入读机会。

获得组合课程录取的学生可在完成一年级共同课程后,于第二学年开始修习任何一个学位的课程。

 

课程特色

  • 电子计算学系欢迎文、理和商科学生修读。
  • 硕士课程:本课程与硕士学位课程衔接,学生可于本科毕业后多修读一年,取得硕士学位。
专业认可及就业前景

专业认可

毕业生可成为美国电脑协会(Association of Computing Machinery)及电机暨电子工程师学会(Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers)的会员。具备一定工作经验者可成为美国电脑协会(香港分会)(Association of Computing Machinery — Hong Kong Chapter) 的专业会员。毕业生还可加入电机暨电子工程师学会(香港计算机分会) (IEEE Hong Kong Section Computer Society Chapter)。

 

下列课程已获取香港工程师学会之专业认证:

就业前景

计算机科学(荣誉)理学士学位

毕业生除可从事程序编写、系统及软件工程开发外,还可成为推销人员或网站管理人才。毕业生就业领域非常广泛,包括政府、软件公司、电子商贸、银行、金融、公共设施等。

 

企业信息管理(荣誉)理学士学位

毕业生能运用科技及管理两方面的知识,评估、发展企业的资讯系统。因此,毕业生既能胜任程序设计、系统分析、系统发展、软件工程及系统管理等技术性工作,还能担任科技产品的市场推广、销售、专案管理、网页管理及网页服务设计等工作。

课程结构

第一年修读共同课程,学生在获得基础知识的同时可培养对计算学科的兴趣;第二年学习计算器科学、管理及/或会计等方面的知识。这些知识有助于提高学生解决问题的能力。第三年学生可按其专业意向修读相关科目。第四年深入学习所选的专业。

 

计算机科学(荣誉)理学士学位

第一年:修读共同课程开设的基础科目。

第二年: 计算机基础,商业及管理概念基础。

第三年:进一步巩固计算机技术及信息科技的应用。

第四年:攻读各个计算机专业领域:如计算机制图、电子商务、多媒体及游戏软件等。

 

企业信息管理(荣誉)理学士学位

第一年:修读共同课程开设的基础科目。

第二年: 计算机基础、信息科技的基本概念,商业、会计及管理基础。

第三年:计算机技术及企业信息管理。

第四年:攻读各个计算机领域,如信息管理、审计及管控、项目及知识管理、商务程序管理、物流及工作流程管理等。

入学要求

录取标准

  • 申请人必须在应届高考获得优异的成绩,当中包括良好的英语成绩。
  • 申请人如在学术或其他非学术领域,如体育、文化艺术、领导才能及社会服务、STEM^ 等不同范畴获卓越表现,可透过参与「3D综合评估入学计划」或「德艺计划」获得优先面试选拔资格。通过面试的申请人可享有本科入学政策的优惠待遇。请按此了解详情。

In my first year at PolyU COMP, I have learned a tremendous amount.  While I had some experience with competitive programming in middle school, I did not fully grasp the comprehensive scope of computer science until I entered the classroom at COMP. I was impressed by the dedication of the teaching and academic staff, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure we mastered the concepts. Whenever I had questions, they promptly responded to my enquiries.

 

The most inspiring experience was participating in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). Many fellow students who were also interested in participating in ICPC contacted me, and we took the initiative to form a team. To our delight, Prof. Li Qing discovered our initiative and offered to coach us. I am deeply grateful for the support provided by the professors and the department as a whole, which has been instrumental in my growth and development during this formative year.

Xiang Yufan Frank

After obtaining my bachelor's degree from PolyU, I pursued an MPhil degree at the University of Cambridge. I am currently continuing my PhD studies at Cambridge, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models. My studies at PolyU provided me with a solid foundation in Computer Science through various courses and research opportunities, which sparked my interest in language processing and cognitive science.

 

To me, "Pioneering Possibilities, Powering Potentials" signifies that everyone possesses limitless possibilities and potential. My personal journey reflects this, as I transitioned from a student with no CS background to someone deeply involved in the AI community.
