Projects for Strategic Plan Initiatives on learning and teaching
Following the launch of the new strategic plan for 2019/20-2024/25, the University has allocated a few rounds of funding for projects that implement the strategic plan initiatives to enhance student learning experience via
- the strengthening of the ‘learn to learn’ element in the curriculum;
- the expansion of the research element in the undergraduate curriculum;
- an extensive use of interactive pedagogies to engage and challenge students and increase their confidence and communication skills;
- a refined curriculum that features an effective blend of face-to-face and online modes of learning and appropriate application of education technologies to nurture in students self-directed learning skills and to enrich their learning experiences;
- creation of virtual tutorials and peer learning groups to supplement and replace face-to-face tutorials; and
- the use of the best MOOCs and SPOCs in teaching and learning.
