Special UGC Grant for Strategic Development of Virtual Teaching and Learning (VTL)

The UGC introduced this special grant in late January 2021 to support “the strategic move towards more intensive and systematic adoption of VTL”. PolyU was allocated $22.865 million in this connection. PolyU submitted a work plan to the UGC as required in March 2021, which was accepted. The work plan includes 20 institutional initiatives and one inter-institutional collaborative activity (IICA). PolyU will also participate in four other IICA led by other universities. All initiatives are expected to be completed by the end of June 2023.
