
Prof. Billy Lam Chung-lun
Adjunct Professor
Prof. Billy Lam was the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong International Airport from 1998 to 2000. After his retirement in 2001, he became the Urban Renewal Authority’s first Managing Director (2001-2007). Prof. Lam currently serves as a member of the HKSAR Government’s Lantau Development Advisory Committee and Country and Marine Park Board, a Director of Life Education Activities Program, BC Consultancy Services Ltd and Minmetals Land Ltd. He is also a former Council member (April 2009 – March 2015) and a current Court Member of PolyU.

Prof. Miranda Lou

Prof. Miranda Lou is Executive Vice President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining PolyU, Prof. Lou worked for Wharf (Holdings) Limited, Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCL Group). Her last position prior to joining the University was Chief Operating Officer of OOCL Logistics, leading the strategic planning and global business development of the company. Previously she had served in different global and regional leadership positions in the OOCL Group, including Director of Asia-Europe Trade, Managing Director of Hong Kong and South China, and General Manager of Corporate Administration.

Prof. Nelson Chow stands at the forefront of business transformation in Asia as both the President of the Institute for Supply Management – Hong Kong Branch (ISM-HK) and the leading Partner at Argon & Co. With over twenty years of experience, his expertise spans operational excellence, margin enhancement, supply chain risk management, sustainability and digital transformation across both multinational and local organisations. He has served 50+ clients worldwide and managed 100+ strategic projects across sectors including Automotive, FMCG, Food & Beverages, Luxury & Fashion, Private Equity, Retail & E-commerce, Power & Utilities, Life Sciences, Transport & Logistic, Trading and Industrial.
Prof. Chow is passionate about nurturing the next generation of business and digital talents, highlighted by his roles as a Visiting Lecturer in the Global Supply Chain Master’s Programme at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Advisor at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the Business School Lausanne. He has enriched his academic credentials with Executive programmes from prestigious institutions including The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Stanford University, University of Cambridge.
A sought-after speaker, Prof. Chow recently spoke and moderated the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference 2024 (ALMAC), ESG Xchange 2024, Suzhou American Chamber Manufacturing Conference, 2nd Annual ASEAN Procurement Innovation Summit, Digital Procurement Transformation 2024, Luxury Symposium 2024, Asia Retail Arena – 2nd Edition, Asia Pacific Procurement Congress, World Finance Forum, Smart Supply Chain and Logistics Asia, 4th Asia Digital Supply Chain Summit and ProcureCon Asia 2023. Prof. Charleston Sin
Professor of Practice
Prof. Charleston Sin is the Executive Director of mCommerce, an AI development and services company based in Hong Kong, and a Founding Partner at Kapok Capital, a deep-tech investment firm in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Previously, Prof. Sin served as the Executive Director of the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, where he played a key role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Before joining MIT, he held executive leadership positions in research and development, product management, sales, and marketing at Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, and VMware, with a career spanning the United States, Canada, Asia Pacific, and Greater China.
Prof. Sin is a Professor of Practice in the Faculty of Business at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he has been teaching since 2020. He has co-supervised three Doctor of FinTech graduates, all specialising in data applications in financial technology. Previously, he served as an Adjunct Full Professor in the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Hong Kong.
Prof. Sin is also the President of the eHealth Consortium, a leading nonprofit organisation supporting digital health initiatives in Hong Kong and the GBA.
Prof. Sin earned his Ph.D. in Management Sciences from The University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1997, with a focus on Innovation Management.
Prof. Wang Chun-lin
Professor of Practice (Maritime Policy and Management)
Prof. Wang Chun-lin graduated from University of International Business and Economics (Beijing) in 1986. He completed MBA courses in Murdoch University in Australia and Hong Kong in 1999, and obtained his master's degree in International Shipping and Transport Logistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2003. In 2010, he completed Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives (BPSE) in IMD, Switzerland.
Prof. Wang is the Founder and Chairman of China League International (Group) Ltd, as well as the Founder and Executive Director of Hong Kong Maritime Research Center. He is also the Consultant and Independent Director of several shipping and leasing companies located in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Norway. He engages in policy research and strategic consulting in the fields of shipping and energy and other relevant industries.
Prof. Wang has been working in the shipping and logistics industry since he joined Sinotrans Group, China’s largest integrated logistics service provider with global operations, in 1986. He was promoted to Assistant President of Sinotrans Group in 2003. Prof. Wang integrated the shipping business of Sinotrans Group and established Sinotrans Shipping Limited in Hong Kong in 2003 as General Manager. Being the third largest state-owned shipping company in China, the Company was later successfully listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Prof. Wang joined Pacific Basin Shipping Limited as Executive Director in 2005. The company owns and operates the world's largest fleet of handy and handymax dry bulk carriers, and is publicly listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Prof. Wang also served as the Company's General Manager of China later.
In his career, Prof. Wang has also served as consultant, member and visiting professor at the Government, industry organisations and educational institutions in Hong Kong, China and internationally.
As an alumnus, Prof. Wang has been actively involved in and supported the activities of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. For many years, he served as a member of the advisory committee of the Faculty of Business and chairman of the advisory committee of the Department.
