PolyU secures major research fundings for impactful innovation

PolyU has received significant research funding from two prominent organisations to support innovative projects. Under the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Research Grants Council’s Collaborative Research Scheme 2023/24 Exercise, PolyU was granted a total of HK$10.5 million for three interdisciplinary projects. Led by Dean of the Graduate School Prof. Cao Jiannong, Associate Vice President (Global Partnerships) Prof. Geoffrey Shen, and Associate Head and Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Prof. Songye Zhu respectively, the projects aim to advance technologies including AI scheduling, construction collaboration in the Greater Bay Area and offshore renewable energy.
