The PolyU SAO Judo Club has emerged victorious at the 33rd Joint College Judo Competition, claiming the Overall Championship and Team Competition Champion titles. Held on 12 April, this prestigious event brought together around 200 student-athletes from the judo societies of 9 local universities, including contestants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
The competition was a vibrant showcase of unity and diversity, as local and international students came together to compete, learn from each other, and forge lasting bonds. Represented by 32 students from local, Mainland China and Kazakhstan, the PolyU SAO Judo Club showcased exceptional skills, evident in their remarkable collection of 20 individual medals across Junior and Senior Divisions. This outstanding achievement highlights the club’s unwavering commitment to excellence, discipline, and teamwork, as well as the University’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
Embodying the spirit of collaboration and skill development, the Joint College Judo Competition promotes sportsmanship and camaraderie among universities. It also serves as an incredible platform for cultural exchange and networking, helping to advance broader goals in talent development and cross-institutional engagement in Hong Kong.
