Bringing robust campus life aside, the clubs and associations affiliated under SAO offer diversified activities facilitating student development. Inclusivity

Cultural Inclusivity in Motion

The Inter-society Sport-a-thon blazed to life in November 2024, transforming our sports grounds into a celebration of cultural diversity. With the South Asian Society at the helm, all eight non-local student associations united to bring together 147 students who formed 35 teams, competing in badminton, basketball, and futsal. Through the universal language of sport, participants broke down cultural barriers and forged lasting friendships, demonstrating their commitment to fostering an inclusive, internationalised campus community.

文化共融之聯動

2024年11月舉行的「八會聯動競技賽」不僅是一場比賽，更是一個充滿活力的跨文化交流平台。147名來自不同文化背景的本地及非本地生組成了35支勁旅，於羽毛球、籃球及室內足球三大項目中展開激烈角逐。這場盛會由南亞學生會牽頭，聯合其他七大非本地學生會全力協作，彰顯了他們推動校園共融的不懈追求。

Caring for the Neglected

Loving Pawsitively

Lovelypup – an event hosted by Campus YMCA of PolyU to support a run-down dog shelter by engaging participants in dog feeding and walking, and kennel cleaning. Improving the living conditions of the dogs aside, students learn to respect and spread love to the neglected. 

小爪大愛

愛「毛」止境是一項由香港基督教青年會理大分會主辦的活動，義務團隊定期到這所經時間洗禮的狗場提供支援，參與狗隻餵食、遛狗、清潔狗舍等任務。除了改善狗狗的生活條件，同學也學會了尊重並為被社會遺忘的群體傳遞愛與關懷。
