Special Allowance for Hiring Students with SEN
Selective Placement Division of the Labour Department offers allowance under the “Work Orientation and Placement Scheme” (WOPS) to employers intending to recruit students with special needs (SEN). WOPS aims to promote inclusive hiring practices and encourage employers to offer job vacancies and work orientation period to candidates as well as incumbents with SEN. The allowance serves as a compelling incentive for employers to recognise the potential and capabilities of students with SEN.
