The “Embrace Diversity: Navigating Modern HR Landscape” sharing session held on 24 November 2023 achieved resounding success with an attendance of around 40 representatives from more than 20 companies/organisations. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation and Retraining Centre of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation as guest speakers who shared their expertise in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.
The Session commenced with an inspiring opening remarks by Dr Eric Tam, PolyU’s Associate Dean of Students of the Student Affairs Office (SAO), who appealed to employers to foster a DEI-friendly work atmosphere, and join SAO’s “Inclusive Employer Network”, so that more individuals from diverse backgrounds can be hired and make contributions in workplaces where DEI is recognised. Tokens of appreciation were presented to Hong Yip Service Company Limited and Societe Generale in commending their unwavering support by providing job opportunities to PolyU students with SEN in the past academic year.
