Family

Stable relationships (friends, families and partners) are important to our physical and mental health, which also promote our self-esteem and enhance our sense of belonging.

Disagreements often happen. While we shouldn’t expect to agree all the time, ongoing conflict and tension can cause stress on studying, daily functioning and work commitments.

Sometimes it is too hard to solve the family conflict on your own and some external support is needed to prevent the situation from getting worse.

Family or domestic violence is very different from disagreements. Violence happens in different forms – psychological, verbal or sexual. Abusers employ violence to control or intimidate others.

Violence is never OK. Please refer to the below resources for advice and support when needed.
