BSc (Hons) in Property Management
Faculty of Construction and Environment

Reflecting on my incredible transformation at PolyU, I am deeply moved by the power of personal growth, meaningful connections and the pursuit of inspiration. Every step of the journey has revealed the transformative power that lies within me.

I was an introverted individual before studying at PolyU, confined by the boundaries of my comfort zone. However, the dynamic and nurturing environment of PolyU became the catalyst for my profound transformation. The experiences of engaging in different academic and extracurricular activities, such as serving as a PolyU Student Ambassador and the President of the Wofoo Leaders’ Network – PolyU Student Chapter, have helped me to adopt a people-oriented mindset and discover the immeasurable joy of connecting with and inspiring others. By collaborating with people from all walks of life, I have witnessed the transcendent power of passion that unifies us all. Immersing in a world of diverse cultures, ideas and perspectives made me realise the true value of connections which have not only enriched my journey but also created an inspiring network that continues to guide and influence both myself and others.

Looking ahead, my passion for addressing pressing societal issues fuels my ambition to pursue a postgraduate degree. With a deep commitment to leveraging my education and research endeavours, I aim to tackle challenges such as the ageing population, construction safety and sustainability through innovative research projects. Guided by my personal transformation and meaningful connections I have cultivated, I aspire to inspire and encourage others to embrace their passions and contribute to positive changes in society.

As I progress on my life path, I will always remember the value of personal growth, foster connections with diverse perspectives and strive to make a meaningful impact on society. Together, we can ignite a ripple effect of transformation, connection, and inspiration. Together, we can forge a future that shines brighter than ever before – a future where our collective efforts excel in creating a better world.

I am both pleased and honoured to receive the President’s Distinguished Student Leadership Award, a recognition of my efforts and the unwavering support of professors, teachers, staff, my PolyU peers and my family. This accolade inspires me to further excel academically and lead with a positive societal impact.

I am profoundly grateful to PolyU for its holistic education, which has nurtured my leadership skills. Not only have I learned to lead myself towards academic excellence, earning honours and scholarships, but I have also effectively managed and led interdisciplinary teams to success in national competitions, showcasing our academic achievements at international conferences and in international journals. Moreover, this education has inspired me to actively engage in volunteer work, serving the community and contributing to Hong Kong.

I am convinced that a resilient spirit, effective communication skills and empathy are essential for good leadership. I intend to develop these qualities further, aiming for more outstanding accomplishments in academia, research, innovation and social service. May the educational philosophy of PolyU propel it towards a thriving future by cultivating talents that will shape the prosperity of both Hong Kong and our country.

Sharing Session with the 2023/24 President of PolyU SAO Cartoons Art Society

Sharing Session with the 202324 President of PolyU SAO Cartoons Art Society

Over the past year, the Cartoons Art Society (CAS) has organised a variety of activities, among which the PolyU Art Fair 2024 was one of our signature events. This annual event featured captivating ACGN-themed dance and singing performances from talented groups across Hong Kong. The dedicated dancers and singers had perfected their routines, entertaining the audience with skilful, creative interpretations of their beloved franchises. The Art Fair was a truly memorable experience, further solidifying our Society's role in the ACGN (Animation, Comic, Game and Novel) community.

As President of the CAS, I've had the privilege of being directly involved in organising the Society's activities and decision-making. This chance has not only helped develop my leadership and communication skills but has also given me a better understanding of the needs and perspectives of my fellow members. We've been dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and supportive community culture, and this experience has undoubtedly had a profound impact on my personal growth.
