Chapter Three: Appreciation for Chinese Culture
“Tune” through the Campus
The PolyU SAO Chinese Orchestra has been an active performing group in different cultural scenes. They frequently stage performances in institutional signature events not only to bring joy to the PolyU community, but also to foster deeper understanding to and wider appreciation for the traditional Chinese music. Besides spirited activities, the Club believes that campus life can also be enriched through tranquil melodies. Instilling traditional Chinese music into the campus can, at the same time, reinforce students’ national identity.
「旋」轉校園
理大學生事務處中樂團向來是校內外活躍的表演團體之一。樂團經常獲邀於理大活動中演奏，不僅為理大師生及校友們帶來歡樂，同時亦有助校園文化推廣，培育大家對中國傳統音樂的深入了解和廣泛欣賞。中樂團相信，除了精彩的演奏外，休雅的旋律亦能豐富校園生活。將傳統中國音樂融入校園生活的同時，也加強學生的國家身份認同。
