Dual Degree with the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
BBA (Hons) in Global Business and Logistics [PolyU]
BSc in International Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) [CBS]
The Dual Degree Programme combines the strengths of the BBA in Global Business and Logistics with the BSc in International Business, offering a comprehensive education in international trade, supply chain management, and global business strategies. This programme equips students with critical skills in cross-cultural management, global marketing, and sustainable supply chain practices, alongside a deep understanding of the economic, cultural, and political factors influencing global business. Through theoretical studies, practical applications, and international exposure, graduates are prepared for successful careers in multinational corporations, logistics, consulting firms, and international organisations.
The Copenhagen Business School (CBS) was established in 1917 by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education and Research. Today, with 20,000 students and 1,500 employees, CBS is one of the largest business schools in Europe and one of the 8 Danish universities. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes within business, typically with an interdisciplinary and international focus. CBS is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AMBA (Association of MBAs), as well as AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), thus making it one of the few schools worldwide to hold the triple-crown accreditation.
Students admitted to the programme will spend the first two years at PolyU, then final two years at CBS. Upon completion of the programme, students will be awarded two degrees in business, BBA (Hons) in Global Business and Logistics from PolyU, and BSc in International Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from CBS.
Work-Integrated Education (WIE)
To graduate, every student must complete 100 hours (3 training credits) of WIE. The Department has developed opportunities for students to work in firms either during the summer vacation or alongside their studies. Summer placements may be available in Hong Kong, in mainland China, or overseas. These and other forms of work experience count towards the WIE requirement.
Characteristics of Scheme-based Admission
Students follow a common curriculum in the first year under the Scheme. The common curriculum offers students approximately one year to identify their area(s) of interest and career aspirations, which facilitates their Major programme selection.
The decision to admit students to a Major programme will be made by the Department based on the students’ choice and their overall GPA of Year One study. Students will be asked to rank their choices of Major programme during Semester 2 of their Year One study for the Department’s consideration and approval.
All admitted students will embark on a Common Year One curriculum. Towards the end of year one, students can decide whether to continue with their initial choice or switch to another choice within the Faculty. Those who wish to switch can choose their preferred departmental scheme/programme through a ranking assessment.
