Our programmes provide students with a well-rounded business education centred on supply chain management and analytics, aviation management and finance, international shipping and transport logistics, and global business and logistics. The programmes are designed to meet the current and future needs of the relevant industries. They emphasise active student participation and industry collaboration.
After completing the Common Year One curriculum, students will be invited to choose one of the following degrees, indicating the field of study in which they will specialise until graduation:
- Aviation Management and Finance (BBA-AMF)
- International Shipping and Transport Logistics (BBA-ISTL)
- Supply Chain Management and Analytics (BBA-SCMA)
- Global Business and Logistics (BBA-GBL)*
*Dual Degree with the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
All students in the Faculty of Business are encouraged to participate in a range of extracurricular activities, such as leadership training camps, peer tutoring, and mentorship.
If students wish, and subject to availability, they can spend a semester studying at another university overseas or in mainland China, with the credits counting towards their PolyU degree.

It enables students to acquire broad knowledge in maritime transport and logistics within a general broad framework of international transport and trade.

Dual Degree with the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
BBA (Hons) in Global Business and Logistics [PolyU]
BSc in International Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) [CBS]
The Dual Degree programme combines the strengths of the BBA in Global Business and Logistics with the BSc in International Business, providing a comprehensive education in international trade, supply chain management, and global business strategies. This programme equips students with essential skills in cross-cultural management, global marketing, and sustainable supply chain practices, as well as a deep understanding of the economic, cultural, and political factors that influence global business. Through theoretical studies, practical applications, and international exposure, graduates are prepared for successful careers in multinational corporations, logistics, consulting firms, and international organisations.
The Copenhagen Business School (CBS) was established in 1917 by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education and Research. Today, with 20,000 students and 1,500 employees, CBS is one of the largest business schools in Europe and one of 8 Danish universities. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes in business, typically with an interdisciplinary and international focus. CBS is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AMBA (Association of MBAs), as well as AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), making it one of the few schools in the world to hold triple accreditation.
Students admitted to the programme will spend their first two years at PolyU and their final two years at CBS. Upon completion of the programme, students will be awarded two business degrees: BBA (Hons) in Global Business and Logistics from PolyU and BSc in International Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from CBS.
Work-Integrated Education (WIE)
To graduate, each student must complete 100 hours (3 training credits) of WIE. The Department has developed opportunities for students to work in firms either during the summer holidays or alongside their studies. Summer placements may be offered in Hong Kong, mainland China, or overseas. These work experiences and other forms of professional experience count towards the WIE requirement.
Admission to the Scheme
All students follow a Common Year One curriculum under the Faculty. The common curriculum gives students approximately one year to identify their area(s) of interest and career aspirations, making it easier for them to choose a Major programme.
The decision to admit students to a Major programme will be made by the Department based on the students’ choice and their overall Year One GPA. Students will be asked to rank their Major programme choices during semester 2 of Year One for the Department’s consideration and approval.
Towards the end of year one, students can decide whether to continue with their initial choice or switch to another choice within the Faculty. Those who wish to change to another choice need to join a competitive process through a ranking assessment, which considers a combination of entrance qualification score, Year One GPA, and interview performance.
